2018 Essy Awards

As one of the top real estate firms in New York City, agents at Oxford Property Group are always striving to exceed excellence for each of their clients. Everyone at Oxford Property Group was thrilled for Brian Rodriguez to be recognized for exactly that at the first annual StreetEasy Essy Awards gala held at the stunning Sony Hall where he won the Essy Award for the Premier Agent of the Year.

Brian, now a real estate agent for five years, joined Oxford in 2014 with a focus on rentals. Brian moved to Oxford when his mentor joined the firm. Brian was excited about joining Oxford for the independence that he has as an agent while having access to comprehensive support if he needs it.   After four years of learning how to deliver for his clients, Brian started to think about transitioning into sales. When he learned about the Premier Agent program that StreetEasy was launching, he saw it as a great opportunity to make the leap and hasn’t looked back since.   With the support of the Oxford and StreetEasy staff, Brian started representing buyers and sellers in June of 2017. As a Premier Agent through StreetEasy, Brian is connected with active buyers who are looking for an exceptional agent who helps guide them through the process. Now working in the Upper East Side and the Upper West Side of Manhattan, Brian has come to relish the dynamics in a sales transaction, though he did find the his beginning days in sales challenging.   Still, after persevering and finding his footing, Brian wouldn’t want to be doing anything other than working with his clients. He was honored to be nominated and to be awarded the Essy Award for the Premier Agent of the Year.   StreetEasy noted the selection process for the seven categories that they recognized was a rigorous process. It included:

“...look(ing) at a collection of StreetEasy data points to rank possible candidates for awards that were then reviewed by the StreetEasy Essys Committee. The Essy Awards were not based on one data point or dollar figure, which was important for us. Being a great agent is more than just the total value of real estate you’ve rented or sold — it’s how well you know the market so you can price it well, how you work with your clients, and how you market a property.”

Brian received an email to notify him that he was nominated and was excited to attend the event. Having successfully transitioned to sales because of this very program made the evening that much more special to him.

Having won the award, he noted that he’s thankful for the resources and tools that he’s had access to which has been an incredible asset to him as he navigates the sales process in New York City real estate.

After having tried different careers, Brian is delighted to have found a path that lets him leverage his skill set with flexibility while providing phenomenal service to his clients. We’re thrilled for Brian’s success and his being acknowledged by StreetEasy for his commitment to excellence. Congratulations, Brian!
