Manhattan Leasing on the Rise

With New York City being the destination for so many businesses around the world, it makes sense that the city would continue to see strong growth in the commercial sector. New York City has continued to be a place that attracts businesses to lease space for their offices and employees and 2018 will have another strong year, if the current predictions are accurate, and we think that they are.   According to new reports, the new tax cuts in the United States is expected to spur continued growth in the economy, with the International Monetary Fund suggesting that 2018 will see a 2.7% increase in the U.S. economy and an additional growth of 2.5% in 2019. These numbers are based in part from the strong numbers we are seeing in office employment in the U.S., and in Manhattan, specifically. As a city that draws people and businesses from all over the world, New York City is a location that continues to have broad appeal for businesses looking to expand beyond their own neighborhoods. Of course, excellent real estate services, like those that Oxford agents provide, make that transition into New York City smoother and easier for businesses opening a new office and searching for space to lease.     At Oxford, our agents take great pride in being not only neighborhood experts, but specialists in the leasing of commercial space in Manhattan and the other boroughs. Oxford agents work closely with their corporate clients to ensure a perfect fit for all of the office and commercial space needs. One of the services that we offer at Oxford is to be the “boots on the ground” for our clients who are coming to New York City for the first time and virtually previewing commercial spaces to help them narrow their search earlier on in the process. We can preview these spaces live via Facetime or Skype feeds with our clients, which helps narrow down a list of properties to view on a live tour.   In 2017, employment in New York City offices rose to 1.66 million people, a record number. We expect that 2018 will see an even higher figure and will be striving to accommodate our client's commercial requests. It is projected that 2018 will have even stronger job growth, leading to additional employees, and as a result, the need for even more office space in New York City. With 2018 projected to be another strong year for commercial real estate in Manhattan, we know our agents will be working hard to ensure that their clients are delighted with their newly leased space in New York City.   If you and your company are ready to make your move to Manhattan, everyone at Oxford is ready to make that dream into a reality. We look forward to helping you find the ideal office location in New York City for your business and employees and are experts in all of the intricacies that go into leasing a commercial space in Manhattan. Our agents are standing by and looking forward to creating a relationship with you so that Oxford is an asset to you and your company for many years to come.
